CurrentServe as a volunteer docent, delivering engaging, informative, and professional architectural tours, including both walking and river cruises for paying guests. River cruise tours accommodate groups of up to 200 people, providing a memorable educational experience about Chicago’s rich architectural heritage.Key Responsibilities: 1. Tour Leadership: • Conduct walking and river cruises that highlight Chicago’s iconic architectural landmarks and history. • Facilitate an enjoyable, insightful, and dynamic tour experience for guests of various backgrounds. 2. Training and Development: • Participate as a training team member for onboarding new River Cruise docents, sharing knowledge and best practices. • Support new docents in mastering tour content and presentation skills. 3. Committee Leadership and Oversight: • Served as Co-Chair of the Education Committee, responsible for recruiting, selecting, and training new docent volunteers. • Current Co-Chair of the Standards Committee, focused on quality review and resolution of customer complaints to maintain high service standards. 4. Recognition and Accomplishments: • Awarded “Outstanding Docent” in 2023 for exceptional contributions to the Chicago Architecture Center and its visitors.
