Ms. Baumgaertner has more than 32 years experience managing environmental and engineering professionals. She also manages environmental compliance studies and documentation for projects in both the public and private sector. Areas of expertise include managing large, complex, and sometimes controversial NEPA projects, including programmatic NEPA projects; designing and conducting cumulative impact analyses, and socioeconomic impact analyses including for compliance with Executive Order 12898, Environmental Justice. She has provided these services for a variety of project types including military installations and related weapons facilities, mining operations, transportation facilities, power line projects, pipeline projects, postal facilities, National cemeteries, coastal-dependent development, and for disaster response and recovery as well as hazard mitigation projects nationwide. As a project manager, Ms. Baumgaertner has been successful at identifying and assembling highly qualified teams to assess and solve complex or unique problems. She is experienced at understanding each client’s goals and needs, and providing products that effectively and efficiently support their decision-making process. Ms. Baumgaertner has also successfully managed and grown several operations units. She has identified markets, organized and led the pursuit of new projects, and developed new clients. Using strong leadership and communication skills she developed and shared a clear and consistent direction to expand and diversify the unit. She strengthened her team through hiring and retaining key management and technical staff and through staff training/mentoring. Ms. Baumgaertner has developed and taught numerous environmental compliance courses. She is a certified instructor as well as a trained facilitator and environmental conflict mediator. Ms. Baumgaertner has an established reputation for being able to "get the job done" in a cost-effective and highly successful way.
