I am so blessed to have such an enjoyable job! Meeting hundreds of business owners, pastors, daily customers who come in to place special announcements for loved ones or special activities, working with the Kootenai Humane Center's director and many volunteers and also working with the wonderful senior center and their contacts on a daily basis keeps me alive in our community. I work closely with my clients to understand how to meet their business needs and objectives through advertising in multiple areas of print, EXPOs and online media. We begin by learning about their product or service and then determine their target market. From there, I will design eye-catching effective ads for print and online and get their ads into the entire marketplace with the frequency needed to get results. EXPOs have been extremely helpful in placing my customers in direct contact with new clients. The events are always fun. We have held them in several different venues and have always closed on a very successful note. I encourage all of my clients to be part of our EXPOs, if their products and services fit into the theme. It is a perfect way to listen to their customers and define what they truly need. I also work with wonderful, compassionate and brilliant coworkers who teach me new things every day.

Construction, cabinet sales, installs and counter top installs, accounts receivable and accounts payable

I had a most enjoyable time learning new things and working with a great group of people at Irvin Water District. When I arrived, it was my responsibility to work with the Washington State Auditors to find proof that an embezzlement had taken place over the last eight years. There was extensive research through all back records looking for certain information and grouping all of the past required paperwork into a new filing system in perfect order. My daily job included, but was not limited to inputting data into the account system and printing bills, stamping them with a Pitney Bowes postage machine and mailing them monthly. Daily, it was wonderful meeting the customers as they came in person to pay their bills. I actually reconnected with friends that I hadn't seen for ten to twenty years. Preparing the tax documents and taking them to the Spokane Courthouse to finish up with the information that I supplied to them every week was one of my weekly and monthly jobs. Payroll was another of my responsibilities. After about four months, it occurred to me that I was bored with the job and knew that something more challenging was out there waiting for me. We posted my job and I was able to hire the perfect person to fill the position. I trained her on her duties and in two weeks, I left under the condition that I would take calls and help her through any problems she was having with the many reports she needed to produce. After about three months, she was doing very well and my services were no longer needed.
