Kathy Boland ( born 1939 in Indianapaolis, Indiana) Is a printer and painter from Charleston, WV. Mrs Boland recieived her BFA from Marymount College ( Tarrytown, NY) in 1961. She studied at the Kingston School of Art in Kingston on Thames, UK) during 1958.In 2001,she recieved a National Endowment of the Arts grndt in Printmaking. More recently in 2011, she was honored by the Charleston Community Music Association for her contribution to art. In 2012 She recieved an achieivement award at the 68th Allied Artist of West Virginia Juried Exhibit in Parkersburg, WV. In 2015, she, with two other local artists, is recognized at the UC Builders" Artists Among Us" luncheon.Mrs Boland is known for her paintings ( oils, pastel, mixed media,) and her hand painted plates (platters and shush plates) of the parlors and colorful Gardens of the Greenbrier Resort.
