Kathy Camper has extensive experience in office management including budgeting/cost management, bookkeeping, a wide variety of computer applications, social media, website support, client relations, staff supervision/development and more. Following her passion for sailing, she has recently left the field of wealth management to return to the sailboat industry. She is currently providing office support for a sailboat rigging shop in Shelter Island. Kathy graduated with honors from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. She started her career in finance and manpower forecasting before discovering an aptitude for computer-based business solutions. She taught operating systems and business applications in a corporate environment for ten years and was project manager of Computer-Related Training at a globally recognized computer consulting firm.Kathy left the work force when her children were young to focus on raising her family. During this time, she used her expertise as a volunteer in her local community. She spent 13 years as a Girl Scout leader and was Service Unit Treasurer overseeing the banking and financial reporting of 50 local troops. She and her husband ran their local little league for three years, where Kathy’s official functions included treasurer, sponsorship coordinator, and concessions manager overseeing 60k in annual product sales. Kathy spent three years as treasurer of the boosters for her local high school band.In her free time, Kathy enjoys spending time with family and friends, sailing, skiing, rock climbing, travel, and a good book.
