As a HCPC Biomedical Scientist at NuTH, I perform both automated analysis in Core Biochemistry and more specialised analysis, such as the quantification of immunosuppressants by mass spectrometry. I partake in a 24/7 shift rota covering two extremely busy sites, and I am working towards the completion of my IBMS Specialist Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry.

In this role I was a HCPC registered biomedical scientist working in a busy Blood Sciences department, specialising in clinical biochemistry. I partook in the 24/7 shift rota and began working towards completing my IBMS Specialist Diploma in Clinical Biochemistry.

During my biomedical science placement year, I completed rotations in three major pathology disciplines: haematology, biochemistry and histology. I also completed spoke placements in immunology, cytology and with the Anticoagulant Dosing Advisory Service.

During my time as an Administrative Assistant, I dealt with complex cases regarding the re-homing of domestic animals. This brought with it difficulty at times as each client's case was unique and had to be treated delicately. I also undertook some financial roles, including end of day cash up and processing legacies and sponsorship payments.
