Additionally, I have over 27 years’ experience working with and supporting governing bodies in the education sector as a Company Secretary. At board level I drive improved performance with a focus on corporate and strategic governance, finance and risk management by actively governing the construction, implementation and review of strategy. Board highlights include: Centre for Enterprise Governance Advisory Committee Member at Bond University; Trustee, Investment Sub-committee Member at NGS Super Fund; Past Chair and Board Member at Association of School Business Administrators. In an executive capacity I served as Bursar at Sydney Church of England Grammar School for 16 years following 11 years at The Illawarra Grammar School. At Shore, I was responsible for business management, governance and financial stewardship with leadership responsibilities for operational and support functions including fiscal management, strategic advice to the School Council, the Headmaster and Executive Leadership team, management and professional development of Support Staff, engagement and relationship building with key stakeholders across the Shore and education community generally, as well as oversight of governance, compliance and risk matters. Finally, I have a Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance, a Master of Labour Law and Relations, a Certificate of Governance and Risk Management and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). I am a Graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course and the Association of Superannuation Trustees and am a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
