WE@RIT is a Kate Gleason College of Engineering (KGCOE) initiative with the mission of recruiting, retaining, supporting and inspiring women engineering students to achieve their fullest potential as engineers and as leaders. WE@RIT engages students, collaborates and partners with faculty, related campus programs and industry partners to achieve its mission. WE@RIT ‘s main goal is to implement programmatic initiatives designed to increase the number of women in engineering majors, enhance their overall academic experience, and facilitate their entry into successful professional careers. This is accomplished through outreach, recruitment, and community building initiatives. These efforts are enhanced through collaboration with corporate partners, RIT’s Office of Admissions, Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education, Alumni Relations, area K-12 teachers and organizations, and other key organizations across campus, in the local community, and nationally. The WE@RIT Director is directly responsible for the strategy and operation of all Women in Engineering programs, fundraising, collaboration and project execution.• Manage the development and administration of all outreach, recruitment, and community building activities associated with WE@RIT. • Enhance and maintain an evaluation plan for WE@RIT offerings in order to understand and document program effectiveness and create program refinements based on assessment activities.• Cultivate and sustain a strong sense of community among women engineering students.• Build collaborative and supportive relationships across campus to assist in the success of WE@RIT programs and ensuring positive student experiences.• Manage budgets and monitor program expenditures.• Supervise WE@RIT employees, including the hiring, coordination and supervision of a large volunteer group in support of programs.

• Opened and operated Rochester’s first boutique indoor cycling studio. Oversaw buildout, staffing,purchasing, accounting, marketing, client and staff relations & training. • Developed and implemented the area’s sole, year-round, periodized, indoor cycling program.• Developed program that led to Cycledelic becoming the first studio in nation to present every stage of the Tour de France in class on the day it was ridden, complete with live streaming video.• Developed program that led to Cycledelic becoming the first studio in nation to integrate a threshold zone-based system of wireless metric display via a strategic partnership with Performance IQ.• Hosted nationally renowned Master Instructor Tom Scotto for workshops and Master Rides.• Developed and implemented indoor cycling program for the visually impaired.• Implemented the Mind Body Online system for client management, scheduling, payment and check-in and all back-end updates relating to it.• Worked with team of marketing consultants to develop and implement comprehensive marketing program, including health fairs, seasonal campaigns, team cycling kits and a SmartPhone scheduling app.• Drafted all semi-monthly newsletters via Constant Contact.• Crafted and presented cutting-edge special events like “Sinfully Cycledelic” with a live pole dancer, and “The Totally Awesome Extreme 80’s” Halloween class.• Implemented AdvoCare nutrional supplements as secondary revenue source and safe, proven client resource for improved performance and weight loss.

Designed custom cake and cookie creations for clients, specializing in 3-D fondant and gumpaste designs, cookie & cupcake bouquets & favors. Competed in San Diego Cake Club's cake show and studied under some of the country's foremost sugar artists. Successfully met all deadlines, offered excellent customer service and clear communication with clients, and managed all business aspects, including budgeting, billing, ordering, marketing and website design and maintenance. Served as Vice-President of San Diego Cake Club in 2008.

Trained clients with varying goals, including weight loss, improving muscle tone, improving balance, flexibility and range of motion, and improving cardio endurance. Provided all clients with individualized fitness plans based upon their goals, medical history and current condition. Motivated clients by breaking down goals and focusing on their accomplishments.

Assisted in all aspects of running computer network for almost 100 employees (Windows and Solaris platforms) as one of two system administrators. Responsible for new hire accounts and IT education. Assisted in expanding company's IT infrastructure, including installation of server farm. Chaired the company's Recreation Council and successfully budgeted, planned and executed all company social events.

Temp position where I assisted in lab set-up and configuration of Ultra 1 through Ultra 10 technology for Sun U technical training. Utilized basic knowledge of Solaris for system administration functions, including jumpstarts & adding/removing hardware. Interfaced with Sun U instructors to ensure their technical needs were met. Troubleshot problems and/or coordinated appropriate response with system administrators and lab manager as problems arose. Responsible for lab access/security requests. Assisted administrative staff with Unix file management. Spearheaded effort to inventory labs and centrally locate all Sun U course materials.

Self-directed internship to explore layout design and augment class teachings focused on L-Edit. Used Sun Microsystems workstation, including Solaris Unix, to explore Cadence's Virtuoso CAD environment.

Managed day-to-day relationship between AUSHC and San Francisco-based IPA's. Investigated and facilitated resolution of issues pertaining to contract interpreting, claims payment and billing, and utilization management. Educated physicians on AUSHC policies, products and updates via office visits and phone calls. Recruited physicians for participation in AUSHC products and initiatives, and transitioned providers from IPA participation to direct participation in AUSHC's provider network. Coordinated and chaired quarterly Joint Operations Meetings and Network Management Audit between AUSHC and San Francisco-based IPA's.

Coordinated the preparation of contracts and applications for system loading and credentialing. Coordinated the credentialing of providers "pended" for malpractice and other reasons. Acted as key contact person for Medical Management department for interpretation of contract payment methodology. Acted as junior provider relations representative for providers in expansion (Albany & Buffalo) area and as a liaison between Syracuse office and contractors in the field.

Assisted Network Coordinator by managing the day-to-day operations of the office, including preliminary web page development, logo design, development of Network newsletter, management of Network intern, and establishing the office for the Network. Assisted in the preparation of a county-wide Community Needs Assessment, by coordinating meetings for focus groups and key informant interviews, and assisting consultant with analyzing and synthesizing information into final report. Represented Network at various community meetings. Prepared monthly audits and expense reports.
