I was told a couple of months ago by a customer that Cappleman's Antiques was not just a real antique store, but more like a Living History Museum. A Living Museum is a type of museum in which historical events showing the life in past times are performed. While there is no one performing the past - you can at least come by and see something of your past, you may want to buy it to have an item to remember your past or a person in your past. The store was opened in Iuka, MS, by my parents in 1975 - Lee and I joined them in 1978. We purchased the store in 1991 and have continued to buy a wide variety of antiques and collectables, mainly purchased from the surrounding area. We have never allowed any booths to other vendors in our store because we don’t like the feel of an “antique mall”, where the vendors are rarely there and you don’t get that chance to learn about the history of an item you may like to purchase. You can always just come by – Cappleman’s is opened M-F 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Sat. 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM - Please call 662-423-9962 if you are coming from out of town just to make sure that we are open. (with it just Lee and I sometime we have do have to go look at items together and close the store)
