I have the wonderful opportunity to make the winery beautiful every spring and summer. The rolling rose gardens and vegetable gardens that supply the restaurant are all me! Its my Zen job. Truly awesome. During the fall our elite team assists the apple picking public as they come in droves from the east. Since ive assisted in the grooming and preservation of every apple tree on the property, Ive achieved an education by experience that I can share with visitors. During the winter months I'm fortunate enough to do the sign painting work for the winery and new distillery in PIne Island. Very exciting! Come visit and watch us grow!

I completed the 'finishing' stage on jobsat RJ Originals woodshop. He makes the most beautiful and innovative functional pieces of art. The Garnerville artists' guild terminal is loaded with the most incredible artisans Ive ever seen concentrated in one spot. From stage props to hand blown glass to wood working to yarn making to pottery. The list is endless.At RJ Originals, Rick takes vertical cuts of the tree and creates the pieces of furniture as the tree dictates. Last year a documentary was made based on the asian furniture created from his method of milling. Though he is very modest of his work, it compares to no one.

After leaving the business I helped my husband run for nearly 20 years, divorce was falling on us and i needed help. Bob threw out the life preserver that got me back in the field. I worked with the clients from our tiny office in Bogota. It was wonderful, solving problems and assisting them when they needed it most. Trees falling on houses, car crashes, floods, bear vandalism, you name it, we heard it. And thanks to our efficient and trusty team, we locked the door at the end of every day feeling rewarded to help people find a cheaper premium with high quality service. I still miss some of my regular customers, as our relationship grew over the time i was employed there.

I met Kevin because i wanted to build a motorcycle. Eventually I ran out of money and started working there nights. After a while, he offered me a full time position running deliveries and assisting him in assembling motors. It was very interesting and fun. Having to move the business a few times was trying, but we got the job done. By the second year we were married and expecting a child, which proved to be an adventure to balance a house, baby, and business. Of course it all worked out at the end of every day, but the tension of budgeting a seasonal business was always an underlying challenge. My main position was parts manager, but i also scheduled service appointments and basic maintenance for the building. I eventually learned how to polish aluminum after our in house metal finisher retired, which i grew to love.
