I am passionate about increasing the financial literacy of women, especially in times of transition, such as divorce. The mission of my firm, Divorce Finances for Women LLC (DiFī) is to be the financial expert for those considering divorce or in the process, and help take the emotion out of these important decisions. I work closely with my clients and their attorney to understand the complex financial issues involved in a divorce settlement, and model different settlement scenarios so my clients can achieve their short and long-term financial goals. These might include long-term tax implications, retirement planning, and maintaining the current standard of living. I am an Associate Member of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners (ADFP), and will complete my CDFA™ (Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®) certification in January, 2015. My background consists of 27 years managing marketing finances and communications for Pfizer and two management consulting firms.I am a leader of Second Saturday℠ workshops in the north Atlanta suburbs of Gwinnett, Fulton, and Forsyth counties. Second Saturday: What Everyone Needs to Know About Divorce, is the critically acclaimed workshop and community founded in 1989. Second Saturday offers non-biased financial, emotional and legal advice from qualified local professionals, providing people with the knowledge, support, resources and trust that they need to survive the divorce process and move forward with confidence toward a new life.I am actively involved in my community. Before relocating to Atlanta, I was a leader of the Chatham, New Jersey, field hockey recreational program for girls in grades 4-8 for 9 years. I was on the parent leadership team for the Madison Mariners YMCA swim team. In addition, I coached my daughters’ softball teams for many years. My children and I recently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where I founded Divorce Finances for Women LLC.
