I started as a Surgical Scheduler and was promoted to Pre-op front desk; my last position at Wake was working as a Patient Service Rep in the New Joslin Diabetes Center. These positions check in patients to clinic, verify and enter insurance, take payments from patients and schedule returning visits. I also ordered lab work and worked closely with the physicians to ensure appropriate actions for care for all patients.
