After graduate school I worked as a speech pathologist in acute care and long term care, obtaining several certifications to increase my work base including videostroboscopy and voice restoration following laryngectomy. I was involved in the local chapter of speech and hearing professionals, eventually becoming President of the Bay Area Speech and Hearing Association for a few years. I have primarily worked as a speech therapist in geriatrics with swallowing disorders and Alzheimer's but I’ve also worked in the special needs populations with autism spectrum disorders. Currently, I am focused on my own consulting practice primarily for caregivers and patients with dementia.

I left the position due to issues related to COVID as I was needed by my family.
