I've been a "Poet-In-Residence" not only at McCarthy, but at several other schools in MA. I share my own writing with students of elementary grades 1-5, and get them excited about writing and sharing their poetry. I've organized and hosted many Evenings of Poetry where up to 80 children write and share their original poetry to parents, siblings, and guests.

With shrinking distribution of newspapers, I had to give up a weekly/biweekly column for less frequent contributions. At this point, I infrequently write columns about daily life's foibles and faux pas and try to make the aggravating into amusing.
