Reporting to the Senior Vice President, HR, responsible for health and retirement benefit functions for this multiple agency, large (3,000+ employee) NYC non-profit organization.Achieved PPACA compliance, worked with the IRS to have a $2 million penalty excused and create ongoing processes to address ACA eligibility monthly. Led transition team to onboard 700+ employees at 7 locations in 5 days per a NY State decree to dissolve their non-profit agency and merge with ADAPT. Transition team member merging 2 non-profit agencies into ADAPT and adding 1 non-profit agency into ADAPT’s management agreement. The transition to include: Onboard employees; Enroll employees in health benefits and retirement plans; working with ERISA attorney to address prior retirement plans; Review benefit policies/practices (leaves of absence, NYS Paid Family Leave, FMLA, Disability, Tuition Assistance, etc.) for accuracy and consistency. Initiated and drove efforts to reorganize the benefit function to improve controls, efficiencies and expenses: Audit – open enrollment, benefit orientation and benefit changes data entry and provider invoices; Created system reports to eliminate manual effort; Tracking/logging processes (Provider invoices, Outstanding benefit enrollment information, Tuition assistance packets}.
