Responsible for planning and executing strategic partnerships, corporate development, and business planning efforts.- Worked with a team of engineering, service delivery and business support organizations to define and develop a lower-cost, higher-margin product to be deployed internationally for mid-market Web hosting customers.-Led a matrixed team comprised of Digex and WorldCom sales, marketing, product management, engineering, technical operations, and customer service personnel responsible for process readiness and training required to migrate WorldCom’s existing Web hosting customers to Digex.-Guided the team responsible for defining the corporate strategic plan including mission, vision, values, goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives. Performed internal business assessment and market analysis to define corporate priorities and performance metrics. Established framework for implementing the business strategy, including aligning the financial planning process with the strategic planning process. Facilitated the development of annual operating plans with each organization. Conducted an Internal Strategy Roadshow to communicate the corporate strategy to all employees.-Helped envision, define, and build the business proposal for a three-year joint project between Microsoft, Compaq, and Digex to develop, deploy, and market a next-generation application hosting platform and services for the Internet. This project resulted in a $100 million investment in Digex by Microsoft and Compaq. Defined scope, tasks, schedule, staff requirements, and budget for a dedicated team of engineers and developers to execute the project.-Created Digex’s first European business plan including Pan-European market assessment, sales and marketing strategy, products, and services strategy, technical operations, and financial models. This plan led to establishing a European subsidiary, Digex Europe, and the opening of Digex’s London SmartCenter in January 2000.
