As the Law Society of Ireland's first dedicated inhouse comms hire in its 180 year history, I co-created the annual marketing, communications and PR plans and managed all marketing, branding and press office activity. Specifically, I proactively identified and drove the creation of thought leadership and content marketing content to achieve the Society's brand authority and reputation management goals and its business needs. This included: - Development and delivery of communications and marketing strategies; contribute to operational strategy development - Press office management- Event management and project management - Capacity building: advising and preparing the Director General, President and other senior members for media appearances and interviews; media skills training for staff members and solicitors- Brand management and guardianship, both internally and externally Impact/highlights:- Increased the visibility and prestige of the longest running media awards in Ireland, the Justice Media Awards, leading to a >100% increase in the number of entries- Built the reputation of the Law Society as an authoritative voice in public discourse- Co-ordinated the Law Society’s communications campaign highlighting its world-first achievement of gender parity in the profession

- I managed all marketing and communications activities, from identifying and driving brand-building and thought leadership content - of particular importance as a challenger brand in the space - to consistently earn high-quality media placements, drive inbound media queries and support membership development, to content marketing, paid and organic social marketing, annual reports and conferences and paid advertising strategies. - I managed all digital and social channels, including the design and delivery of a new ICSA website, all SEO, content marketing, and social media management. I also wrote, edited, designed and managed (via external agencies) the print and deliver of >10,000 quarterly membership magazines. Impact/highlights:- Project managed the development, delivery and launch of a new website - Co-ordinated ICSA’s exhibition on Irish farming at the European Parliament- Delivered a series of seminars and presentations to farmers nationwide on the 2013 Common Agricultural Policy negotiations - 24/7 management of the ICSA’s public statements, media appearances and responses to media queries during the “horsemeat crisis” over the course of four weeks in 2013
