I am Kathy Michaud! I’m a Graphic Designer and a Costume Designer operating out of Asheville, NC. I strive to bring my customer's ideas into reality and can work with either ambiguous ideas or detailed concepts. I put high value in teamwork and include my clients and coworkers in my process and value input greatly. I normally operate with the Adobe Creative Cloud but have experience in Affinity programs and other third parties if that is necessary for my clients.I've been a Costume Designer since 2012, and delved into Graphic Design in 2018. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Carolina University in 2021 with a focus in Graphic Design as well. I have a vast array of skills including digital illustrations, vector design, woodwork, resin, screenprinting, and silicone casting. I also have extensive experience in modern printing techniques and machinery. In my work I’ve always prioritized my passions, whether that be performing arts, crafting, or more technological pursuits. This has allowed me to continue to grow and develop my work by experimenting with new techniques and materials. I have a particular fondness for animals, and this shows heavily in both my work and my day-to-day activities. When not at my screens, or sewing machine, I frequently involve myself in preservation causes and volunteer at humane societies and other similar establishments. I find no project too daunting, and love experimentation! I operate my costume business under Demon Ferret Studios.
