Led the migration of Novell file share to NetApp NAS environment. Novell had been in use at the UMHS for over 25 years and was deeply integrated into the managed workstations. Novell had been in use at the UMHS for over 25 years and was deeply integrated into the managed workstations. The migration successfully moved over 45 TB of files / folders to the new infrastructure. Project Manager for the deployment of Windows7 on the Medical Campus. The Medical Campus had approximately 14,000 managed workstations that were migrated from XP to Windows7. Led the Windows7 Application Compatibility workgroup through the review and development of remediation plans for over 1,400 applications. This was a 2 year effort due to major clinical applications that required upgrades. Performed all project management duties for the implementation of Microsoft Exchange / Outlook 2010. This project was a $4.5 million project that included the migration of all data from the existing GroupWise email system. The project entailed the migration of 30,000 user mailboxes and 3,500 resource accounts. Included in the project was the upgrade to Office 2010 and addition of Outlook client to 20,000 managed workstations. The project was completed on time and within budget. Led the effort to select an enterprise wide Document Management System. Hyland Software’s OnBase product was selected to integrate with the Epic EMR. Responsible for full project management of the implementation of Clinical Context Object Workgroups (CCOW) for UMHS. The project entailed computer hardware and software implementation to support single sign-on and patient context sharing between multiple applications. The functionality facilitated the synchronization for patient identifier with CareWeb; UMHS’s web based clinical information system, and UM-CareLink, the inpatient orders management application. This project team consisted of approximately 100 team members representing both the technical and clinical areas. The implementation was completed in September 2006. Show less
