General Dynamics NASSCO designs, builds and repairs ships for the Navy and commercial customers. Buyer: Shipyard support purchasing team responsibilities include capital projects, equipment purchases, Labor Pricing Agreements (hourly production rates, designers, engineers and administrative rates), equipment rentals, test & trials, ship launch support, Consultant Agreements (ex-NASSCO employees, outside consultants, and outside training), Central Tool Annual Agreements (new, renewal and invoicing.).

IAC designs and manufactures systems that predict aircraft mechanical faults for the military. Buyer: Responsible for purchasing circuit boards, computer peripherals, hardware, machined parts, sheet metal parts, electronic components, cables and wire for manufacturing. Represented the Material Service Department at the Material Review Board and Engineering Change Notice meetings. Worked closely with Engineering, ensuring deviations are implemented in a timely manner. Maintained close communication with vendors regarding back-order status, discrepancies, recalls and product changes. Prepared RFQs and evaluated supplier bids. Was responsible for placing and following up on purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery.

Purchased medical supplies on consignment, in routine and emergency situations. Reconciled purchase orders with accounts payable. Set up and maintained automatic replacement schedules for assigned accounts. Created purchase orders from supply requisitions and placed orders with associated vendors.
