After 11 years of working field telecommunications for the US Army, I moved into the civilian world and new taking on new challenges. Following a period of study at SIUC in Computer Science, I joined my current employer as a Junior Programmer. After a period of two years, I joined the team developing a website to provide ready access to public information that is has over 20 millions monthly page impressions, and is within the top 50K websites in the US.Sidestepping into a different roles, I assisted in implementing a fully redundant PCI DSS compliant network system along with becoming the PCI Audit Administrator, monitoring for threats, attacks, and staying aware of developing security risks. Additionally, I took on the role of primary technical support for the website, working as the go-between of our primary customers and the general public.I am always on the lookout for new information, education, and challenges to overcome.
