Position Overview:The Director of Human Resources provides strategic human resource and organizational development support for the museum. Responsibilities include developing strategies that drive organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, compensation and benefits and employee relations. The Director of Human Resources passionately supports the mission and vision of the museum and works closely with the management team to recruit, reward and retain talented team members. The role reports to the Executive Director and requires an individual who can adjust quickly to changing priorities in a creative and fast-paced environment. Models a professional approach that exemplifies the culture of the museum and ensures confidentiality at all times.Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day human resource functions of the organization.Demonstrates leadership and professionalism by adapting to and influencing organizational change, transition and growth. Responsible for the development of ongoing workforce plans, design and management of performance management processes and professional development initiatives.Acts in an advisory role to the Executive Director and management team in the areas of workforce planning and professional development; provides coaching at all levels including entry level, first-time managers, leadership, volunteers.Assists and supports management on key human resources issues; facilitates plans for the museum to maintain strong growth initiatives.Understands business strategy and provides innovative ideas that supports defined business outcomes; is a change agent and risk taker.

As Center Director, led a single-center operation in CT providing supplemental education and tutoring services to school aged children. Ranked in the top 5% of 1000+ centers nationally. As Regional Director, oversaw the start-up and management of multiple centers (CT, NJ, NY)
