I am very interested in providing counselling and integrated addiction services for men and women to encourage and assist in achieving personal, family and community health, free from substance abuse and misuse. I hold the RTC designation through the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT). I also offer Spiritual and bereavement counselling. I worked at Life Recovery as a casual Addictions Counsellors in an abstinence based program and I have three years experience working in a residential harm reduction support environment, supporting at-risk women who live with addiction and barriers. My passion for the enhancement of the mental health of those affected by anxiety, addictions/substance misuse/abuse, and trauma has allowed me to develop a comprehensive approach to improving the quality of life of clients.I counsel using mostly Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Supportive Counselling modalities. I help by giving a person someone to talk to that allows them to open up about their problems and feelings in a confidential, safe, and dependable environment.
