The Director of Operation provides support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) by overseeing a range of internal organizational operations, including budgeting, contracts, human resources, and operational information systems. Additional responsibilities include: Serving as a liaison with the Board of Directors, implementing basic policies, programs, and processes, working closely with the organizational Leadership Team, and assisting the CEO in management functions.

The Connectory was developed so parents and caregivers can find local science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) education opportunities for kids in their lives. It was also created with program providers in mind, providing the means for discovering new partners as well as ways to showcase the STEM/STEAM opportunities that providers are offering for youth.Responsibilities:•Advised on tactical measures for both online and geographic community development.•Crafted and delivered individualized outreach, training, and presentations surrounding The Connectory as an online community development tool.•Managed communications, capacity building, and resource allocation to selected sub-networks.•Gathered data, analyzed, created, and distributed metrics reports.•Developed and implemented marketing and communications campaigns and distributed relevant content to target audiences, including content management and creative direction for marketing campaigns.History of The Connectory: Originally developed and launched by Time Warner Cable as part of its Connect a Million Minds initiative, the database previously supported two resources — the Coalition for Science After School's National After School Science Directory (for practitioners) and Time Warner Cable's "Connectory" (for parents). In 2015, the database merged with the existing National Girls Collaborative Program Directory to become the most comprehensive collection of STEM programs and events around the globe. The Connectory was managed by the National Girls Collaborative in collaboration with the Afterschool Alliance, Association of Science Technology Centers, National Afterschool Association, Educational Research Center of America, and VolunteerMatch.The Connectory is now Connected Girls. Connected Girls, in partnership with Science Near Me, is a free, curated directory of girl-serving STEAM opportunities.

Managed daily operations, provided fiscal support to CEO to manage key aspects of the organization, served as a liaison with the Board of Directors and National Champions Board, managed contract initiation and monitoring process, provided grant writing support, implemented basic policies, programs, and processes under the direction of the CEO.
