It is my career objective is to find a fulfilling and meaningful career by making warm, genuine, and empathetic connections with individuals to facilitate change, improve wellbeing, and enrich people’s lives. I am curious, compassionate and empathic. From a young age, I have been interested in the science of how things work. After school, I studied and worked in food science and spent ten years creating and developing food products, where I learnt the value of hard work, flexibility and creativity. Following this, I had the privilege of caring for my young family, running the household and engaging with my community. Upon returning to the workforce, I worked as a plant pathologist, protecting Queensland agriculture from exotic insects and diseases. This work taught me how to think scientifically and focus on the details.Time for ChangeOver time, I felt a desire to work in a person focused career. I have developed an interest in how and why people think what they do. During this period of change, I met a wonderful counsellor who inspired me to study counselling. It is my goal to find a role in which I can help others to negotiate periods of change to facilitate positive outcomes and personal fulfilment. I am excited about this new direction in my career.
