• Oversee the financial and administrative functions of the Center for Urban Education at the Rossier School of Education • Assist in business development to generate revenue for sustaining the operations of the Center • Supervise the communications functions including use of social media for marketing the Center’s educational assessment and evaluation products• Create, administer and monitor contracts and grants• Develop policies and procedures for internal controls and management of the Center’s assets • Assist in developing the Center’s strategic plan and business continuity plan

• Oversaw the financial and operational functions of the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research at the Keck School of Medicine • Oversaw the $6.5 million budget and financial activities for operations and grants, analyzed financial data and developed forecasts • Supervised purchasing of all equipment and supplies• Developed policies and procedures for internal controls and management of the Center’s assets • Supervised payroll and personnel administration for approximately 100 employees• Developed financial aspects of the Center’s strategic plan and business continuity plan• Supervised building operations, maintenance, facilities usage and security; oversaw the construction of new Stem Cell building from the user perspective.

• Managed the financial functions for $22 million in assets and all business office functions including accounting, facilities management, purchasing, warehousing, grant management, mailroom/duplication, and human resource functions of the non-profit corporation; Oversaw the management of $13.5 million endowment portfolio and its investment manager and $8 million grant budget • Identified and conducted due diligence on prospective financial advisors and investment managers• Maintained a perpetual inventory of all property and oversaw purchasing of equipment and supplies• Provided financial statements and reports for the Board of Directors and President; Provided financial reports for donors • Researched, selected, and implemented Information Technology accounting system
