Coordinated the resource development activities for the region’s Maternal-Child Health Consortium, including seeking and securing grant funding, writing grant proposals and developing business relationships for corporate sponsorships. Also coordinated case review teams for fetal and infant mortality review, served as liaison for voluntary Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalitions, and assisted with the development of educational programs in an effort to build community support and increase the organization’s outreach potential.

Provided direction and support for the development and implementation of a Maternity Outreach Mobile serving Cumberland and Salem Counties in NJ. Principal responsibilities included conducting planning meetings, securing a vehicle, researching community barriers to care, recommending sites, schedules and protocols for MOMobile staff, and securing collaborating agency support. This position began as a consultant position in February 1995 with the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation. At that time, primary responsibility was the drafting of a proposal, which would later be implemented jointly by several agencies, including the Perinatal Cooperative and the March of Dimes.

Coordinated all prenatal program activities, assuming responsibilities from the County Health Department for the overall operation of a hospital-based clinic, including: forming and maintaining divisional goals, developing policies and procedures, managing employee concerns, conducting performance appraisals, ensuring compliance with state and regulatory agencies, coordinating care with community resources, and maintaining state HealthStart certification.

Coordinated perinatal education efforts including workshops, conferences and in-house training seminars for hospital staff. Also conducted regional needs assessments, developed and promoted appropriate educational programs, provided follow-up research on conference effectiveness and participated on Cooperative-sponsored committees and health care networks.
