My love to diversify my skills is from my passion of learning new things at any chance I get, accept the abnormality of continuing changes, and accepting criticism to grow in this society. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health and minor of Sociology. As a continuation, I am currently working towards to gaining my Emergency Medical Technician Certification to fulfill my passion of helping people. I currently work as an Accounting Clerk at Baja Designs and these skills I utilize of carefully analysis to details, accurately input data, and ensure timely management for month-end process.I traveled to Peru for a medical internship for VAW Medical, which is a program that provides pop-up clinics for rural locations that may not have easy access to local clinic. I have shadow Peruvian Doctors, triage, and Patient Intake all utilizing my spanish speaking skills to communicate with the community. A fantastic opportunity to increase my knowledge of local medical system that differs from the US system. I additionally recently travel to Japan to study the Japanese culture of Health and Human Services. In Japan, I visited Japanese hospitals, group homes for disability, and biotechnology labs. I have listened to various local speakers about Japan's healthcare/social issues and experienced the newest Japanese Biotechnology they offer. This was another way to view a different medical system and compare to the US. I use my skills from my education and accounting together as I find many similarities. I have learned many new things in between the two areas that I have used for one another. I have experience using software including Netsuite Oracle, Microsoft Nav, Sage Software, IBM SPSS, Quickbooks, Rootstock, and Microsoft programs.
