CurrentProvides support and oversight for appraisal review and valuation issues, including appeals and reconsideration at the direction of Appraisal Team Management. Provides direction to the team on daily priorities. Acts as a leader for the team as the main point of contact for escalated file reviews and questions.• Average day count is over 400 versus other counts averaging 150.• A subject matter expert and who will support the appraisal review staff while assisting with complex issues associated with appraisal reports. • Provides support and oversight for appraisal review and valuation issues, including appeals and reconsideration at the direction of Appraisal Team Management. Provides direction to the team on daily priorities.• Acts as a leader for the team as the main point of contact for escalated file reviews and questions.• Upholds proficiency in loan policies, products, procedure manuals, and investor guidelines (FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA, and Jumbo) and other correspondent investors.• Performs appraisal reviews, escalated reviews, reconciliations, and/or desk reviews on files deemed to have high-risk attributes consistent with loan approved process.• Reviews and analyzes appraisal and related documents. Confirms appraisals meet all agency guideline requirements to produce an acceptable Quality Control (QC) review.• Performs reviews on Appraisal Disputes, Appeals, Reconsideration of Value, and Borrower Escalations including reconciliation of multiple data sources, addressing any potential violations of Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), and working with the service provider to address and resolve our concerns.• Performs reviews on appraisal reports completed by third-party appraisers using a loan approved checklist for moderate to high-risk files as determined by management.• Reviews data to assess overall collateral risks and identifies investor eligibility items for underwriting review and clearance.
