We are achieving this through education programs that allow the youth to understand their role in respecting people’s faith and honoring the earth, and by recognizing that everyone has value, everyone is serving a purpose, everyone supports the whole, and each one of us is a critical piece of the overall puzzle.The Foundation plans to expand training regarding pluralism to other governmental entities in the US and find ways to establish similar programs in other countries. The McCollum Foundation intends to continue Patrick’s direct work supporting those needing spiritual support and counsel, to show world leaders that when caught up in the greater work, we must never lose sight of what we are fighting for. The Ultimate Teen Challenge (UTC) is a fitness competition held annually at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio, the largest fitness expo in the world. SITE NITE (Spiritual, Intuitive & Telepathic Expansion) was the first organization to provide an opportunity to explore esoteric and metaphysical teaching in Pittsburgh. We offered presentations twice monthly and the comaraderie of a developing community of individuals seeking to explore their gifts and interests on topics ranging from: energy psychology, massage, meditation, herbs, nutrition, sustainability, resilience, music, and quantum theory, to astrology, mediumship, tarot, shamanism, and working with faeries! MidwifeProvided independent obstetric care to essentially healthy women and their families in a hospital-based CNM practice; outstanding collaborative relationship with resident and attending physician back-up allowed for management of complicated pregnancies, including presentation of cases at Grand Rounds; deliveries occurred in a hospital-based birth center for low-risk, or traditional LDRs for high-risk patients, with early discharge and home follow-up.

MidwifeProvided prenatal care in the Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Program and family planning services in a sliding scale clinic including: OC's, IUD's, diaphragms, contraceptive counseling and method follow-up.

Responsible for the perinatal education program including marketing, preparing, teaching and record keeping of: Prenatal, Breast feeding, Prepared Cesarean and Labor Preparation classes; plus labor, delivery and postpartum follow-up of students; also provided staff relief and staff development. NOTEWORTHY FOR: Class enrollment and attendance tripled during my tenure; Initiated New Parents and Grandparents classes; Still correspond with clients after 25+ years.

Labor and DeliveryProvided direct care to laboring, delivering and immediate postpartum patients and performed charge nurse duties on a busy unit in a Level II teaching hospital.
