Acquisitions Manager
CurrentReporting to the Senior Director of Licensing Strategy, I am responsible for negotiating and executing licensing agreements, fostering relationships with key content providers, and driving content strategies to optimize reference product offerings. Key responsibilities:- Sourcing, evaluating, and selecting content for licensing from existing and new content partners in designated market/subject areas to support curricular needs. - Negotiating and executing new agreements to ensure a steady stream of new content into the products, and negotiate license renewals to ensure that high-value content remains available to our customers.- In consultation with the Senior Director of Licensing Strategy, planning content release schedules to ensure that the availability of new content aligns with business goals and customer needs. - Maintaining market awareness and conducting market research to identify content gaps, opportunities for stronger content alignment/positioning, and maintaining awareness of competitors’ activities.- Analyzing usage and performance trends to support licensing decisions- Preparing metadata for content processing, including descriptive information and assigning pricing, taxonomy, rights, and platforms- Acting as a product champion and provide internal demos on best practices as well as regular content updates to sales teams.
