With over 6 years of experience at Canadian Base Operators, where I currently serve as Controller, I’ve had the privilege of working with talented teams across our group of companies and affiliates. A key area of focus has been the development and management of Indigenous partnerships, where I’ve taken a lead role in creating, facilitating, and managing the accounting operations.From due diligence to administrative setup and day-to-day financial processes, I’ve been deeply involved in ensuring these partnerships are both sustainable and mutually beneficial. This work has greatly expanded my understanding of collaboration, particularly in how financial management can support and strengthen relationships with Indigenous businesses.With strong support from our corporate office teams, I continue to enhance financial oversight, improve operational efficiency, and closely participate in initiatives like the multi-year JDE ERP rollout. These projects have streamlined processes and ensured alignment with the organization’s mission and values.As I complete my MBA by the end of 2024, I’m excited to keep growing and apply fresh ideas to my work—both in Indigenous partnerships and broader financial strategy.
