WHAT I DO: Everything I do professionally is to empower people to better their lives by improving their physical and mental health. With the right touch, people can make changes to choose health and wellness. Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food~As the Health Promotion Dietitian at Buckley Space Force Base, I was responsible for 14,000 members. Over the last several years, I built a highly successful Telehealth practice at Buckley Space Force Base through COVID-19, increasing patients seen and classes taught five-fold. WHO I WORK WITH: Private clients, in-patients, out-patients, schools, and non-profit organizations, easily establishing rapport with people of all ages and from all walks of life, individually or in groups, virtually and in-person.WHY IT WORKS: I believe in making a difference. I am creative, solve problems, am an engaging speaker, write and listen well, and I won’t stop until I have succeeded. My entrepreneurial spirit allowed me to become one of the first dietitians in the country to have a private practice, and to be asked to become a teacher before I had ever seen a lesson plan. I love teaching, whether it is through counseling or teaching classes, and created all the teaching materials for my high school classes, becoming the Director of the Department. I have continued this practice at Buckley, developing seven online classes and countless enriching teaching materials.WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT: I graduated with Highest Distinction in Food Science and Nutrition at Colorado State University, followed by a dietetic internship at The Massachusetts General Hospital. I have always been a nurturer and a “life-coach” who believes in health and wellness. The proof is in the results. I connect with my patients in many ways and have the personal touch which is needed for a holistic approach for their health. The feedback I get is tremendous and I love being able to help people!
