My burning desire is for all people to fully accept themselves and be free to have a life worth living. I fulfill this desire through individual and relationship counseling, public speaking and teaching, writing, and community organizing. Relationships are central to a life worth living, be it our relationship with ourselves, with our partner(s), with our family members or with our friends. You will improve your interpersonal skills and gain new insights into your relationships either through 45 to 50 minute counseling sessions with me, by participating in one of my workshops, or attending a presentation.Many myths about sexuality, sexual identity, sexual orientation or gender identity are huge obstacles to gaining a life worth living and have a negative impact on our most important relationships. I teach the real science behind the variations in human sexuality. I particularly enjoy working with trans* individuals at any point in their journey.Traumatic memories that return to haunt us undermine many attempts to improve our lives. EMDR, an evidence-based intervention for PTSD and related problems, will bring you peace of mind when you think about those incidents in the future and release you from the false beliefs that harm your present. EMDR works very quickly – one of my clients found complete relief in only 8 sessions!Finally, I love teaching other professionals how to be better at whatever they do. I provide in office trainings on ethical use of social media, diversity, Trans* 101, stress management, and crisis intervention.
