I perform Parenting Time Evaluations, Brief Focused Assessments, and other court-ordered evaluations. I also do Reunification Counseling (Therapeutic Supervised Visitation) for parents and children, and provide counseling for both adults and children on a variety of issues.

I am currently an adjunct faculty member with Southern New Hampshire University. I teach Assessment in Forensic Psychology PSY622, and Psychology in the Courtroom PSY626 in their M.S. Forensic Psychology program online (using Blackboard).

My responsibilities at Mana included serving as a supervising clinician, doing Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments, Intake Interviews, Individual counseling appointments for adults and juveniles, group facilitation, and in-home family counseling.

I taught Psychology 101, which is an introductory course designed to provide a basic overview of Psychology to our students, many of whom will be using this education in their future nursing, criminal justice, and professional psychology careers. I taught both face-to-face and online sections of this course.

I was the owner/manager of a small law firm. My primary areas of focus were family law and criminal law. I handled custody, divorce, and criminal cases, as well as representing parties in guardianship and conservatorship cases and serving the Court as a Guardian Ad Litem or Court Visitor in guardianship cases when appointed. I utilized my psychological education and degree by performing forensic custody evaluations for the court system.

I taught various General Education courses such as Psychology, Statistics, Social Psychology, Group Dynamics, Research Methods, Ethics, Sociology, Composition II, and Written Analysis on a rotating basis.

I worked with a team of Instructional Designers on a collaborative project to design two separate Paralegal Courses for Ivy Tech's Online Paralegal Studies program using the Blackboard platform. I served as a course developer and content expert. I then served as the Course Mentor for both courses through the course rollout and course improvement process.

I taught Public Speaking to 6th and 7th grade students at St. Paul's Catholic School. .

I worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. Main areas of responsibility were prosecution of misdemeanors and felony cases ranging from theft, to battery and assault, to fraud and forgery, to murder. Also required was a working knowledge of the state mental health code, and the ability to conduct civil commitment hearings and work with the Department of Health and Welfare and designated examiners in order to appropriately observe the requirements of the code. My criminal duties included representing the State of Idaho in court for all stages of criminal proceedings from arraignment to trial and sentencing, as well as screening and charging cases, meeting with police officers and other witnesses as needed for trial preparation, providing victim's rights compliance and ensuring victim update and contact through the completion of every case, and attending any out-of-court events necessary for effective prosecution of cases assigned to me (e.g. benefit hearings related to fraud cases, autopsies related to murder cases, etc.). My civil duties included advocating for the State of Idaho at civil commitment hearings, conducting direct examination for state retained psychologists and/or designated examiners, assessing the evidence in the case for sufficiency, and presenting the State's case for commitment and providing the proper evidence to the Court.

I worked as one of two City Prosecutors for the City of Meridian, Idaho. We were employed through the law firm of White, Peterson, Pruss, Morrow & Gigray, who at that time had the contract with the City of Meridian for city prosecution. My criminal duties included representing the City of Meridian in court for all stages of misdemeanor criminal proceedings from arraignment to trial and sentencing, as well as screening and charging cases, meeting with police officers and other witnesses as needed for trial preparation, providing victim's rights compliance and ensuring victim update and contact through the completion of every case, and attending any out-of-court events necessary for effective prosecution of cases assigned to me (e.g. officer briefings, ride-alongs with my officers, etc.) My civil duties included pursuing contempt charges against criminal defendants who had failed to pay their fines in Meridian City's cases, attending City Council Meetings as needed to advise the Council, attending administration meetings at the Meridian Police Department to act as legal advisor to the command staff, and pursuing necessary code-enforcement issues from the civil arena back into the criminal arena if civil enforcement failed to gain compliance.

I worked as a Deputy Public Defender, and my criminal duties included representing in court clients accused of a variety of crimes, as well as screening discovery (both written and video/audio/data) for suppression issues or other legal challenges, conducting client interviews both in my office and in custodial settings such as county jails, state prisons, or inpatient mental facilities, and generally guiding and advising a client through the entire criminal process from charging to acquittal or conviction. My civil duties included representing clients who were subjects in civil commitment hearings, reviewing statutorily required psychological reports, cross-examining state retained psychologists and/or designated examiners, and representing my client through the civil commitment process.Community Service and Consulting
