Helping people overcome: ADD/ADHD, autism, PDD, Aspergers, learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD), Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and Sensory Integration Disorder by using trainings and therapies to reduce the symptoms until the label no longer fits. I’ve been working with clients since 2000 to find the underlying causes of their academic struggles, and alleviating the symptoms enough for success. Perfection is not the goal, success and independence are. The conventional wisdom today is to use labels like ADD and autism, accommodations like extra time on tests, and different teaching strategies to help students succeed. In some cases this is all they need to overcome their struggles, but in most cases, once identified with a label, the student learns to require the accommodations in order to find some source of success. The Pyramid Of Potential is based on finding the cause of the problem, and making changes in the brain and body to the point that the label no longer matches the student. A quick example would be the child labeled with ADD, who actually has hypersensitive hearing. Once the hearing problem is changed, the label no longer fits. Although I have a background in education, my greatest teachers were my clients and students. After my first client and I spent two years of research, trainings, and therapies, her IQ raised by 20 points, and none of her original labels fit her. At the time of this writing, she is a successful college student on the dean’s list with no accommodations. I want nothing less for every person struggling with similar issues.Since then I have created a company that educates parents and professionals about how to improve brain functioning through therapies and cognitive training that improve IQ (I know, you thought people couldn't do that, but remember Gabby Giffords did after being shot in the head).
