Kathy King Email and Phone Number

Kathy King is a Metro Detroit-based dance educator, mentor, and success coach. She is the founder and director of Brighton Dance Festival, and serves as executive director and brand manager to the Los Angeles-based Artists in Training Dance Convention. Locally, she teaches regularly at Michelle's Academy of Dance & Performing Arts Center in Brighton, MI. In 2006, Kathy founded the professional nonprofit company Michigan Dance Project, touring Michigan for eight seasons, and was named as a Crain's Detroit Business "20 in their 20s" in 2013. Kathy has spent time as an adjunct lecturer and guest artist at Eastern Michigan University's School of Music & Dance, and three seasons as head coach of the Cleary University Dance Team. She has also served on several nonprofit boards including Jodie Randolph Dance, Arthur Secunda Museum at Cleary University, and the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, and has been a featured speaker at the DanceLife Teacher Conference and the International Dance Entrepreneurs Association. Most recently, Kathy launched her company Kathy King Strategies, LLC in 2020, providing mentorship and business coaching to creative entrepreneurs across all industries worldwide.
