Responsible for all aspects of the infrastructure group which includes but is not limited to:Lab Support - Design and build new labs from the ground up, which includes installation of racks and cabling (i.e., network, power, fiber, and phone lines). Collaboration with Engineers to install and integrate new network elements into the existing network. Ensure that work areas are functional, clean and safe (ISO compliant).Troubleshoot/repair - Equipment and network failures.Budget Tracking - Create and maintain spreadsheet for Capital, Expense, Freight, Computer Hardware and Software Purchases and Maintenance for the entire site.Planning/ordering - Annual Capital and Expense equipment planning. Request quotes from vendors and process internal purchase order requests in Oracle/SAP. Complete and submit internal order forms for all groups.Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control mechanisms (for $2M of equipment) for sites in California and India.

Upgrade of PC's Installation of networks, Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) and telephone lines.

Installed, tested and certified CAT 5, Twinax, Coax and Fiber. Within one year promoted to Project Manager for cable installations. After second year promoted to Field Operations Manager.

Paradise, CA April 1983 – June 1993 Remote Engineer providing service from Marysville, CA to Yreka, CA and Reno, NV. Responsible for maintaining all Systems and Peripherals. San Francisco, CA April 1978 – April 1983 Entry level technician. Promoted to Senior Tech within 3 years. Major Account responsibility/support included Bank of America and Pacific Bell. Performed preventive maintenance, installations, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of systems and peripherals.
