If you are in the food or cannabis industry, I want to network with you! I am a microbiologist with expertise in food safety. I travel nationally and globally to consult side-by-side with manufacturers on recall investigations, risk assessments, problem-solving, training, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance. I trained to be a Lead Instructor with the FDA-recognized curriculum for Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQIs) in 2016. At last count, I have delivered 40+ PCQI workshops training 500+ PCQIs. With 35+ years in microbiology and 15 years of full-time teaching, I am passionate about training and can effectively communicate at all levels in an organization from line operator to CEO. I have taught and consulted with companies on laboratory methods, interpretation of lab results, quality assurance, sanitation, environmental monitoring, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). When I am not traveling for work, I work remotely from home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where I live with my husband and an adorable Bernedoodle. In 2019 my two sons both made me Nana.
