I travel nationally and globally to consult side-by-side with manufacturers on recall investigations, risk assessments, problem-solving, training, and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) compliance. I trained to be a Lead Instructor with the FDA-recognized curriculum for Preventive Controls Qualified Individuals (PCQIs) in 2016. At last count, I have delivered 40+ PCQI workshops training 500+ PCQIs. With 35+ years in microbiology and 15 years of full-time teaching, I am passionate about training and can effectively communicate at all levels in an organization from line operator to CEO. I have taught and consulted with companies on laboratory methods, interpretation of lab results, quality assurance, sanitation, environmental monitoring, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). When I am not traveling for work, I work remotely from home in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where I live with my husband and an adorable Bernedoodle. In 2019 my two sons both made me Nana.

I'm available for project work writing food safety plans with standard operating procedures and forms for documenting them as well as food microbiology, hazard analysis, and Good Manufacturing Practices with subject matter expertise.I lead a three-day, on-site PCQI training workshop for food company employees as defined and required by FSMA and as recognized by the FDA. I facilitate training sessions and small-group discussions. I received Lead Instructor certification in 2016 from the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance with the FDA-recognized curriculum. Individuals completing the workshop receive an endorsed PCQI certificate of participation and recognition. All food companies are now under FDA compliance for the Preventive Controls for Human Food rule.
