Kathy is currently teaching in-patient yoga at Columbus Springs Dublin in Ohio and Aster Springs Dublin Outpatient for Eating Disorders . She has had extensive training in yoga for emotional wellness working with anxiety, trauma, depression, and grief. Kathy just finished her taking a module from Wisdom School online coarse called Healing Complex Trauma from Brad Hammer. Additionally, Kathy became a Y12 Teacher, a program created by Nikki Meyers which integrates the alignment of yoga and the 12 steps of recovery. Guided by yogic texts, trauma research and modern neuroscience, Y12 training explores combining cognitive and somatic approach to support deeper levels of healing for anyone struggling with addiction and deeply resonates to Kathy’s approach to her life today. She believes Functional Medicine holds the key to quality of life for physical, emotional and cognitive development. She currently finished the 300 Hour Teacher Training at Blue Lotus NC online with Jill Sockman and Carrington Razook and pinches herself to have had the opportunity to study with an amazing group of teachers. Other mentors are Max Stromm's Breath to Heal Facilitator Training in which she completed in October 2023 and Emily Darling from Darling Yoga Studio in Kansas City - her zoom home base one of the 200 hour trainings she completed. Hala Kouri, Collective Resilience’s Trauma Informed Yoga Basic Training as well . Kathy's currently focused on somatic healing modalities for future studies. It has been an honor for her to learn, teach and live the eight limbs of yoga and with dignity, strength and grace and share her personal recovery journey.
