Dr. Kathy Alexander, former South Australian Telstra Businesswoman of the Year, is an experienced board member and chair in public, not for profit and private for profit organizations. She is a former CEO of the Royal Children’s and Royal Women’s hospitals in Victoria and other health services in South Australia and a former CEO of the City of Melbourne. As an experienced consultant, Kathy has chaired governance and legislative review panels for several state governments and assisted organisations to develop strategy and improve productivity and client and community engagement. Kathy has an international reputation for stakeholder management, community engagement and effective public relations in complex and politically sensitive environments. She has introduced reform in all her roles to improve organizational productivity. Kathy is experienced in preparing briefs for government and bids for private consortia for private/public partnerships in the design and construction of major infrastructure projects. She has participated in and led a number of gateway reviews and health checks for major infrastructure planning on behalf of government.
