I began my career with the City of Forth Worth as a Sign Inspector after maintaining a Master Sign Electrician License for over 10 years. I transferred over to Residential Inspection in 2000, and through a cross-training program offered by the city, I earned two Plumbing Inspectors' Certification (Commercial and Residential), and then my State of Texas Plumbing Inspector's License. Soon afterward, through self-study, I obtained Building Inspectors', Mechanical Inspectors', and Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner Certifications.Also, while earning and maintaining thise certifications, through promotion, I first became a Senior Inspector and was eventually promoted to the position of Chief Residential Inspector. I held that position for approximately six years before my accepting a position with Texas A&M's Energy Systems Laboratory.
