I believe in the power of teamwork, communication and collaboration to execute on a plan and drive results. A positive attitude and approach can never be underestimated along with a well thought out action plan to cross the finish line. I have experience in leading a statewide team of external affairs professionals in building relationships and support to advocate for key policy initiatives. I have also led philanthropic giving across statewide third party stakeholders. I have led cross functional teams in sales and operations and have represented a major technology company in local and state external affairs. I have managed through large scale organizational change and business re-design. The most essential ingredient is building strong relationships, continually communicating and always following through on commitments. I am a mentor and a leader for many, recognizing the importance of identifying new, emerging leaders and sharing my experiences to help others succeed. I am passionate about volunteering and giving back in the community. I have seen the impact focused attention and dedication to a cause can have on an organization and especially on individuals. I proudly serve as Chair of the Commissioner on the California Volunteers Commission where I have the opportunity to increase volunteerism and service across the state.
