Then, after listening to talent acquisition experts and business leaders, I developed courses to address employee skill gaps:• communication• engagement• leadership• productivityI kicked off my career as a corporate trainer with Capital One and Compass Bank, where I developed onboarding, sales, and service training. I loved curriculum development so much that I moved to private education, where I had complete freedom to develop educational solutions. That kept me busy for 13 years! After a move to Pennsylvania, I served as manager of communications and PR for FNB Corporation. It was trial by fire as I absorbed responsibility for internal and external communications and public relations for a $15 billion financial institution.I sharpened my writing skills during those years and ventured out of corporate in 2016, establishing my own company, Your Selling Point LLC. I supported small companies with communication strategies, brand messaging, and content development.I also wrote articles that allowed me to dig into tech stuff, distill the information, and deliver it back to non-tech readers. The pinnacle of my writing career was a brief stint as a writer for Forbes BrandVoice. In 2016, I also took on a passion project. My book, “Twice Broken: My Journey to Wholeness,” is the story of renewal after divorce and years of domestic violence. Around that time, I took a shot at going back to a company and…well, let’s just say I jumped back out in two years, and I never looked back. That’s when I considered my life goals and turned my energy back to my own company. Today, Your Selling Point LLC markets its courses as Create-a-Buzz Employee Workshops. My mission is to help companies build a better workforce by improving communication, engagement, leadership readiness, and productivity.My client base is not limited by industry or size.
