I am currently retired from Argo, Health Care Product. I am dabbling in my former professions of Property & Casualty Insurance...going back to my roots if you will. Since I love books, I am also thinking of taking a position in a public library. I always thought it would be interesting to expand people's horizons through reading. What treasures to explore!

Collaborated with project development teams to design and implement $2,000,000 contact, policy and claims administration systems for small to medium size property and casualty insurance companies. Primary focus was property and medical malpractice insurance lines of business. Accomplishments included:Being a small company, handled multiple projects and functions.Assisted in on-site client visits to evaluate software / functionality needs.Wrote system design specification documents using various formats and software. Assured that client requirements were maintained. Kept documents updated throughout life of project. Developed on-line Help Screens in various formats using Help and Manual software.Served as client, project leader and developer liaison following defined project requirements.Wrote test cases based on design specification documents and performed QA functions. Assisted in developing GUI standards for developers and QA personnel. Performed Bug and Scenario management using Team Foundation Systems (TFS). Assisted in developing both internal and client processes. SQL Server Database Table Setup (Client Defined).

Conducted the assessment and presentation phases of the Work Smart process through both management and end user interviews and evaluation. Later focus was on identifying and scoping document management solutions for financial institutions and related data processing centers. Business process analysis and strategic game plan designs were developed to obtain the efficiency and effectiveness of strategic Internet technology. Accomplishments included:Analyzed computer generated report output files for large financial institutions and a national financial data processor as a member of the docHarbor Engagement Team. Identified and eliminated redundancy reducing their distribution volume by 70%. Evaluated the need to outsource document storage to a third party data center with inter-net access for all users throughout the United States. Internal DASD storage costs were reduced by $600,000 annually while providing prompt consistent data access within six hours of ingestion instead of their traditional twelve hour time frame.

Served as client manager liaison between marketing, systems, analysts, accounting and administrative departments. Development of business functionality, client implementation, program definition, test plans, documentation, training and technical support were key responsibilities. Accomplishments included:Developed bi-directional interfaces for a national financial and insurance organization. Integration of their loan origination, insurance carrier, loan servicing, collateral, insurance tracking, policy management and accounting systems provided autonomy and reduced manual reporting by 50%. Provided an outsourcing solution for sorting mail, imaging and data entry of insurance documents and escrow information, automated matching of insurance to mortgage loans and providing interface files with the results. This solution reduced the mortgage lender's duplicate mail volume by 20% and increased their escrow department productivity by 15%. Defined a bi-directional interface sub-system with a national mortgage loan servicing system for tracking new and changed insurance exposures. Automated file transmissions, audit controls, preliminary on line processing reviews and production submission reduced manual intervention by 30%. Designed functionality for an External Policy Management system that interfaces the tracking system with a national insurance company providing voluntary and force placed insurance quotes and policy placement. This interface saved $900,000 in premium rating, cancellation and insurance regulatory updates within the tracking system. Implemented change management procedures and led the first Quality Assurance Team that reviewed project definition, programming, testing and documentation prior to production status. System batch processing abends were reduced by 20% and client complaints were reduced by 40%.
