Katia Pecoraro is an Italian graphic designer based in Oslo, currently working at Snøhetta. She previously worked at Pentagram in Berlin.Her work explores the interaction of design practice and historical context, with interests ranging from modular Dutch typography to Olympic design, variable systems, and signage.Katia is passionate about using design to address social issues and drive change, particularly through impactful posters. Her focus includes mental health issues and eating disorders. She aims to find ways to make design a helpful tool in these areas.She has been involved as a judge in exhibitions like the The 4th Block in Ukraine and regularly gives lectures on design, such as at the 14th Forum Mediendesign in Germany. Her work has been featured in prestigious museums, including the Triennale Milano and the MEET | Digital Culture Center.Outside of her professional life, she plays the piano and collects books to the point where her small apartment is slowly becoming a personal library.
