This undergraduate course teaches the fundamentals of human comfort and energy use in buildings, including solar geometry, site analysis, daylighting, thermal properties, and passive design. I led a three-hour weekly class that involved lab exercises, lecture review, discussion, and design critique.

I conducted independent research on the perceptions and behavior of people in buildings that integrate natural ventilation and mechanical cooling. Research in adaptive thermal comfort fell within a broader interest in post-occupancy evaluation and connecting design decision-making to the reality of how people use buildings
