The Lord's Taverners is the official charity of recreational cricket and the UK's leading youth cricket and disability sports charity. The charity raises over £6 million per year through various fundraising initiatives, including a number of high-profile national events managed by the in-house events department.As event manager I am responsible for the planning, budgeting, marketing and successful execution of a number of key national fundraising events, including lunches, dinners, gala balls, golf days and celebrity cricket matches.I work closely with a number of influential committees within Charity including Chairmen, Presidents, Trustees and senior staff members.

As events assistant my key responsibilities included the daily support of four event managers through the preparation of event marketing material, the management of bookings and sales, communications with a number of senior staff within the charity and external suppliers ensuring every event ran to a strict schedule.

Action Aid are an international agency who work with and support the poorest and most vulnerable people to fight for and gain their rights to food, shelter, work, basic healthcare. I have volunteered at two summer festivals for Action Aid supporting their fundraising and events teams. The work achieved helped to promote the Charity in the public consciousness particularly amongst a younger generation.
