Liaison College of Education, Health, and Society, Liaison to Intercollegiate Athletic Department• Advise approx. 400 students annually in career planning process including resume development and critiques, interviewing skills, networking guidelines, and job/internship search strategies.• Develop and execute events, programming, job shadows and career panels for students interested in the Education, Nonprofit, and Human Services industries.• Build relationships with faculty and staff across academic and athletic departments to ensure student success upon first destination post-graduation.• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders (alumni, employers, etc.) for the purpose of student preparation into competitive industries, and the ever changing world of work. • Facilitate Intergroup Dialogues among staff to acknowledge and evaluate unconscious bias to ensure interactions with coworkers and students are inclusive and respectful.• Advocate for and prepare student athletes for gigs, internships and full time employment despite minimal free time to dedicate toward career development.• Adapt all workshops to accommodate virtual best practices and accessible materials including video closed captioning.• Host several Career Fairs including Sport Career Exploration & Networking Expo, Teacher Job Fair, and Careers for the Common Good, providing students with meaningful interactions with desirable employers.• Support student groups, including Sport Leadership and Management Club, by leading workshops and connecting prominent alumni to current students. • Awarded “2019 Teammate of the Year” in recognition of outstanding performance, productivity and dedicated service from Intercollegiate Athletic Department.
