Through this work, a few common themes emerged: the talent landscape was shifting to a globalized employee’s market, the strategic value of customer experience had changed, and the time to onboard, train, and create a winning culture was increasing. These problems resulted in an overall threat to their company’s revenue potential, but the resources on the market that were able to holistically solve these problems were non-existent. BetterGrowth was born to integrate Sales and Customer Experience thought-leadership with unique recruitment, onboarding, and training techniques to help companies grow revenue and build high-functioning teams, faster.

GridWorks IC is a white label operator of high quality non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for Medicaid managed care health plans in Portland, OR. I was hired as the first human resources team member and tasked with developing the infrastructure for all functional areas of human resources. I was also responsible for growing our team from seven employees to 175 in ten months through innovative talent acquisition programs and processes. I served as a strategic HR partner for the GridWorks IC leadership team, an eternal and unwavering employee advocate and a director of all activities and work flows of the Human Resources function.

Digital Pharmacist Inc. is a digital, patient and communications solution for small to medium-sized pharmacies. Brought on as hire thirty-five, I was the sole HR employee responsible for building all talent acquisition and HR infrastructure while still preserving the unique culture of the company. During my first six months, I developed a talent brand for the organization, hired 20+ new roles and setup an HRIS system for the company.

SpareFoot Inc. is the world’s largest marketplace for self-storage. Part of the Capital Factory’s incubator class, SpareFoot is an Austin original startup, particularly because of its recognized company culture (3x Austin Business Journal Best Place to Work). I was hired initially as a Recruiter (February 2014 - May 2015) to ramp their Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) Team from twenty to over one hundred individuals. By the time I moved to the HR Generalist role, I had completed this ramp, hired eight PHP Developers and completely rebranded their talent brand. Once in the HR Generalist role, I took on full management of employee engagement and education, benefits administration, compensation analysis and change management strategies.

The Institute for the International Education of Studies (IES Abroad) is a non-profit study abroad organization that administers study abroad programs for U.S. college-aged students. Based in a small, Black Forest town in Germany, I was exposed to international work practices while sharpening my administrative and organizational skills. My working language was German.
